Once a month we gather with youth in grades 7-12 for discussion, games and a service-related project. All youth are invited to join us.
Check out some of our projects below!
Youth are invited to join us for a time of Christmas Fellowship on Friday, December 15! We will drink hot chocolate, eat popcorn, watch a holiday movie and play some Christmas-themed games.
Youth are invited to join us for some baking fun on Friday, January 12! As well as our usual games and discussions, we will be baking cookies for Evangel Hall Mission. We plan to make sandwiches and deliver our cookies following church on Sunday, January 21.
November was full of games and good conversation! We worked together to create a beautiful paper background that was showcased at our Intergenerational Worship Service. Check it out below...
This is the beautiful pulpit fall our Youth in Action crew made in November. It was part of our Intergenerational Worship Service which was based on Jesus Healing the Blind Man in the pool of Siloam (John 9: 1-41)
We were a small but mighty group in October! We played games, chatted and started putting together blankets to be given to newly baptized of the church community.
Our first Youth in Action back after the summer included time to reconnect, welcome new youth and get to know each other better. We worked together to create care packages for our new post secondary school youth!
For our final Youth in Action of the school year, we met to talk about the type of leaders we are and think about ways we can help in our communities this summer! We also made Youth in Action keepsakes to remember all of our projects this past year.
To honour Earth Day, our Youth in Action crew decorated plant pots then planted discarded vegetable scraps to grow new ones!
We had a special guest - our wonderful Armour Heights admin - who had a blast hanging out and connecting with our youth.
In March, our Youth in Action team put their crafting skills to the test in creating no-sew sock bunnies! These bunnies were given to our toddler crew as Easter gifts.
Our Youth in Action team gathered in February to digitally create postcard designs. They turned out beautifully and we are excited to send them out with Easter Blessings to members of our community.
In January, we put together Valentine inspired Treat Bags and made pink and white fudge to sell at an upcoming service. The proceeds will go towards our Afghan Refugee Sponsorship.
We also did a team relay challenge and played hide & seek in the dark!
