Kay spent 36 years in the business world but in her spare time she experimented with various art forms, such as needlework, stained and fused glass and copper enameling.
After retiring she jumped at the chance to try her hand in acrylics by joining the "Just Do It" group at Gerrard Art Space in Toronto and has been working with them since September 2016. She has also been experimenting with various mixed media forms such as resins, inks, collage and adding found objects to pieces. Prior to the pandemic many of her pieces were influenced by her travels to exotic locales. During the various lockdowns she has been playing with colourful, energetic abstract styles and new mediums and techniques. Due to the pandemic, she has been introduced to artists from all over the world and nature has become a large influence in her work. She loves to play with texture and see where the piece flows.
Kay is a member of the Don Valley Art Club (DVAC) and has had works exhibited at Gerrard Art Space, Yellow House Gallery, Artusium. Articulations and DVAC as well as in private collections."

You will find Janet Campbell where she loves to be! Outside, surrounded by inspirational Canadian scenery. After seeing the world through a camera lens from a young age, she has more recently turned to depicting the landscape through paint and canvas. Educated at the Haliburton School of Art and Design, and having studied under notable Canadian Artists Gordon Harrison, Sam Paonessa, Sheila Davis and Pamela Erickson, Janet continues to blend her love of capturing an image through her camera and translating it to the canvas.
Janet's work draws from Canadian landscapes in British Columbia, the far north, Ontario and Nova Scotia. Her work can be found in private collections in all these locations. She thoroughly enjoys the inspiration she finds around the Georgian Bay area, and has gained considerable support from the Go Home Lake community. She welcomes commissions.

Sandy is an avid quilter with many years of experience. Sandy started quilting in 2000 when a quilt guild started at Armour Heights. After retiring in 2006, quilting became Sandy's passion! Sandy quilts nearly everyday, and where Sandy goes, her sewing machine goes with her (even up north with her for the summer!). Sandy also enjoys hand work such as appliqué and hand quilting.
During Covid, Sandy hardly got bored. Being shut in for so long, it was a wonderful excuse to sit at her sewing table and work on old and new projects. Sandy also donates many of her quilts to Quilts of Valour which are given to injured or veteran service men and women.
When an Australian quilt teacher sent out a challenge to complete "Majestic Triumph 365", Sandy answered the call. It was supposed to be one block a day for 365 days. Sandy eventually triumphed, but not on the timeline set out. The beautiful queen sized quilt pictured above took years to finish.
Carolyn has recently resumed painting to reflect on the natural beauty all around her, translate her interpretation of that beauty onto canvas, and avail herself of the calming mindfulness of the process. Born and raised on a farm perched on the edge of the Niagara escarpment overlooking Lake Ontario, the influence of that broad view is apparent in her paintings. The intersection of sky and water feature prominently in the Georgian Bay landscapes that she favours. It is the motion inherent in both sky and water that draw your eye - her landscapes are far from still.
